Hello ... happy new 2017!

I am still here and jumping full feet back to the blogging world!  I have been instagraming ... find me @quiltingunderthesun - I like Instagram because posting is quick, but I miss blogging ... it's my diary to myself and to my friends!

The last couple months I've been too busy ... my mom suffered a small stroke Christmas Eve ... she hadn't been well for a couple months, so I wasn't surprised ... she looks better now than she has in years ... blessings come in all forms ... I spent Christmas Eve watching her all day ... the meaning was not lost on me.  That woman has angels following her for sure!

Back to my world outside of my mom ... my son is finally engaged to the love of his life ... so excited!  They are planning their wedding for later this year ...

My beautiful daughter graduated college May 2016 and is interning in Greece for a year ... she's on the adventure of her life ... but I haven't seen her since August and I really miss that sweet face!
this is my sweetie
... adorable granddaughter Ky, is going to be 4 ... she's in preschool and just growing into her huge personality!  She so reminds me of her daddy ... her step momma to be, my future DIL, has a lot on her plate!! 💕

And finally me ... trying to keep it all together ... January has never been my favorite month ... but I'm changing my world ... one day at a time!  Got into my sewing room finally ... had so much fun yesterday ...

A quilt top I made years ago from some left over brushed flannels ... played around quilting it since I haven't been able to quilt in over a month!  Nice to get one of my own tops out of the way

And just started this scrappy project the last few days ...

Looking forward to 2017 and what it holds ... reminded that every day is a fresh start and a new adventure!  I've missed my friends here!  Much love ...

Happy Monday

Well hello!  Happy Monday to you ... Last Friday we started a minor kitchen project.  After living here for 23 years, we are replacing our countertops.
Plywood went on the top
I really liked that our contractor left me a solid top for the weekend ... All except for the missing sink!!  How many times a day do you walk to your kitchen sink and throw something in it, rinse something, or ...????  I can't tell you how many times I turned that way to throw something in the sink and remembered I don't have one!
Here's my temporary coffee station ... Thank goodness for Starbucks Via's ... They are pretty good for instant!

And here's the stuff we need every day ...
Cereal, fruit, plastic silverware (hallelujah) and dog biscuits!!

Today we have cement board and a sink ...
But there's no faucet yet !  Haha ... I love my new sink though.  Hoping it will all be finished by Wednesday ... Not holding my breath, but ever hopeful!  Haha

I have been sewing and loving it ... But I can't show you what I'm working on ... It's top secret for now!

My baby turned 21 yesterday ... She has been studying in Greece for 5 weeks and came home just in time to celebrate!  I love her and am so proud of her!
Life is a little crazy and disjointed right now ... That's what summer seems to always bring us!  I'm holding on and enjoying the ride!!

My life

I try to not say too much about my personal life ... I do want you to know me, but this is mainly a quilting blog.  I don't like to burden you sweet folks with what happens in all areas of my life.

My son has a 2 year old daughter from a relationship he was in; he was engaged to be married and it didn't work out.  It has been a tumultuous 3 years and in January he moved back to Michigan to be able to see her.  Without going into detail, the child's mother did not like this and has tried to prevent all contact.  Six months later, he finally got a positive ruling and has visitation of his daughter.  It is supervised visitation, and in 4 months they go back to mediation to
review.  I am hoping at that point he has regular visitation and some form of shared custody.

This has been such a hard thing in our family; we have a granddaughter that we have little contact with.  I have visited her 3 times, my husband only once.  I send her things all the time, but once my son ended the relationship, and moved back there in January, our family was cut off pretty much.  I get hardly any videos or pics from mom, and no contact anymore from the grandparents.  Of course I have hurt feelings ... But I made an important realization this last week.  All I want is a relationship with my granddaughter; the rest of the stuff is just stuff.  I will do whatever I need to do to have a relationship with Kylee; if I have to see mom, I will; if I have to see grandparents, I will.  I know we all love this little girl ... I just want her to be a part of my family.  I don't know why people do what they do ... I choose to forgive and move on.  Hopefully my actions towards mom make it easier for her to accept that Kylee has family that love her and she can see that that is a good thing.  Don't get me wrong ... I have wanted to tell her off and stand up for my son.  In the end I realized it might make me feel better, but won't really change anything.!!  It's hard to be the bigger person; it's hard to be the voice of reason in your entire family!  But I know what is most important .. It's that little girl that is 2, that needs her daddy in her life.  She doesn't care about any of this other stuff ... She needs her entire family to love and be in her life.  I had the best grandmother in the world!  That's all I want to be, and I am!  Family is more important ... Yesterday my son finally saw his daughter for the first time since October, and after six months of battling and court appearances, etc.  it's going to be a long and probably bumpy road, but I know she is worth it!

What a weekend

Well ... my beautiful daughter's birthday was on Friday and it was a great start to my weekend!

She turned 19 (that's my baby ... yikes!); we celebrated with dinner at PF Changs (one of my most favorite places!  Have you tried their Flaming Red Wontons????  Delicious!) and then yummy gluten free, sugar free brownies.  Umm ... they are not as bad as they sound, but not as good as a real brownie ... after all it was her birthday and her choice!

Saturday seemed promising ... got some things done around the house, and then off to run a couple errands with hubby.  He was dropping me at the quilt store so I could do some measuring and figuring for a quilt I had made.  No sooner did he leave then I got a call from my mailman, Eddie.  Remember Eddie?  I've told you about him before ... he is awesome ... whenever I get a package I get a text from Eddie so I know it's at my gate.  I had a feeling this conversation was NOT going to be about a package:

Eddie:  Hi Colleen ... did you guys get another dog?
Me:  Yep ... long story, but yes we have a beagle we are "fostering."
Eddie:  Well he is out ...
Me:  Where is he?
Eddie:  In the middle of the street ... oh, and your little dog is outside the gate too.
Me:  Ok ... great ... thanks Eddie!

No sooner did I hang up with him then my son, who is living in Michigan remember, texts me to tell me the neighbor called him and left a message that the dog is out.  For some reason his cell phone was the only number she could find.  Then my son tells me to deal with it ... what????!!!  I know he didn't mean it to come out that way, and you can't see someone's face when you are texting, but I did not take too kindly to that text, so I shot him a little reply.  Then talked to hubby who went home to put the culprits into the house.  Our nice neighbors were standing in our driveway with the dogs, making sure they didn't run away.  They have three boys and those boys are very sweet ... they love our dogs and sometimes I wonder why ... since all Charlie does is bark at them whenever he sees them going off into the park!  We think Todd is climbing up on a pile of firewood and jumping the fence.  So hubby moved some of the wood and we'll see if that does the trick.  Did I mention that Todd somehow removed his collar last week and buried it in the yard?  I can't find it and it has his identification tags on there.  Off I went to Petco yesterday in the midst of my errands to get him another tag so if someone finds him they know who he belongs to.  Would it be terrible to say that I considered NOT replacing his dog tag?!

Decided we would try and take all three dogs to a local park and hit the trails with them.  Todd hasn't been in the car since we brought him home from the airport.  We aren't two minutes down the road and he is drooling everywhere.  The trip is about 15 minutes ... we have towels on the seat and hubby has to keep wiping his drool ... gross ... on the window, the side of the door, disgusting!  Get there take them for a walk ... walk is successful!  On the way home more drooling, and I keep thinking he's going to toss his cookies .... 5 minutes from home, yep he does!  After we get home I spend about 1/2 hour washing down the inside of the car and outside windows where there was drool, and then clean the carpet that got the tossed cookies.  Don't think Todd will be going on a ride anytime soon!

Did you make it this far?  I know that part was not about quilting, but the majority of my life these days is ... not about quilting!  I did get to finish putting my flying geese and half square triangles together; picked my background fabric for my turkeys and pumpkins, and have everything stacked and ready to go for class next Saturday.

It is a three part class, and next week is part two.

These are all backgrounds for the turkey and pumpkin applique blocks.  the only thing I have to do is pick fabric for the turkeys and pumpkins.  I am NEVER ready ahead of time, so am wondering if lightening is going to strike, or something!  ha, ha

And here is what makes everything worth it ...

Randomness

I am starting this post with no idea whatsoever of where it may take me!  It is Saturday morning and I have nothing I have to do today. Things has been a little overwhelming in my little world lately, so I have decided to take a "vacation' from longarming for a short while.  It is a nice break and I am finding the time to spend on small details of life that have been overlooked a little ... Gardening, friends, family, etc.

I have managed to do some sewing and it feels good to just have a relaxing project going on.  The Country Loft is starting a block of the week called "Life is Beautiful."  It starts in July and the designer loaned us her sample ... Isn't that incredible!  I made a small store sample so we could understand the technique she used, and be able to answer questions and help customers.  The original version is much larger.
Back ...
This quilt has some interesting methods used and it also employs the quilt as you go method.  Love that!  I was making the sample on our machine at work that does not have a walking foot so don't look too closely at the back where it doesn't join correctly!  Those layers are really too much to just construct without a walking foot, but it was still fun!

We have a new addition to our household, temporarily ... His name is Todd ...
He is a 3 year old beagle, and belongs to our son's fiancé.  It is a long story, but we are "fostering" Todd for a short while. Trying to get our two dogs adjusted to him has been a slow process.
Does it look like they are all a little unsure of each other, yes they are!  Been almost two weeks and we have made some definite progress, but Sophie and Charlie look like they are still wondering when our houseguest is leaving!  Have you ever heard a beagle bark ... Bar-oo roo roo ..!!

Happy New Year!

Oh my, I must apologize for not being around for so long ... I had no idea it was since the beginning of November!!!  I don't know what has happened ... there has just been so much going on in my life and I have just not been my usual self.  My son is now in Michigan with his sweetheart and her family.  He left the middle of December, and is going to stay until the baby is born ... at least ... I hope they decide to move back here, but at this point, they may wind up living in Michigan.  My heart is broken, but I know it will heal.  Christmas this year was not the same ... it was the first Christmas spent without him.

I didn't do Christmas like I usually do this year and I decided that was okay.  I just put a few decorations up in the house as my heart wasn't really into it.  I can finally say that my son is engaged ... he proposed Christmas eve, and I am happy for the two of them.

I feel like I owe you so much more of an explanation for my absence ... I did miss my online friends and my routine.  My goal for the new year is to be happier ... I think I said that last year too.  I read a book the beginining of last year called The Happiness Project and I really liked it ... I plan on rereading the book.  I also have a plan to be more organized ... there are a couple of books I'm looking at to help me with that, and I will let you know which one I pick.  I also intend to get healthier ... I eat pretty well, but haven't been exercising as much as I would like to ... and I'm working on that too!

I have been keeping busy with my quilting.  Last year I took off December and January, but it was not to be this year.  I worked through Christmas, and am still sewing ... it does help to keep my mind and hands busy!

Okay, onto some pictures ... this is a quilt I did for a customer ... it's a baby quilt for her daughter ... isn't it cute?

Just did a little squiggly swirl with Glide thread in top and bobbin.
Did I show you this picture yet?  I saw this little dog dressed in this raincoat and I stopped the man to ask him where he had gotten the jacket ... actually, I thought it was a jacket that he had made for the dog, it just looked just like the ones we all had when we were kids!

Well I am happy to be back ... I hope some of you are still out there!  I'm anxious to hear if anyone has their own New Years ideas ... I don't like the word resolutions.  And have you all been working on your quilting over the holidays, or does it get put on the back burner?  Honestly, can you believe how fast time goes ... wow!!

Good friends

I don't know why I am naming this post this, but it was the first thing that came to my mind.  I've been carrying some family stuff around for a while, and it has really been weighing on my heart and head.  I decided it wasn't good for me to continue along that path ... when you keep a secret from someone, especially someone close that loves you, it creates in your mind shame ... there must be shame attached to whatever is going on, because why not share the burden?  Part of what friends are for is to help us through troubled times ... I know I want my friends to always feel like I am there to listen to them.  We had a pow wow yesterday and I just feel so much better today ... my circumstances haven't changed, but I am no longer carrying this burden around.  I really feel like a small weight was lifted from my shoulders.  My friends just lifted my spirits and are helping me shoulder the changes that are going on around me.

I'm going to a b'day party this weekend.  My uncle has a son who is about 12 ... Jonathan is the light of his life, and he also happens to have Downs syndrome.  JJ (as they call him) ... has everything!  His mom comes from a large family and everyone loves JJ so much that he is showered with goodies.  He usually gets so much at his b'day that they put part of it away for Christmas!  I usually buy him a book, or something like that, but I decided to make him some pillowcases!  After making my daugther's for college, I was reminded how stinking easy they are and oh so cute!!!  I'm not exactly sure what he's "into", and I was going to call my aunt, but decided to just wing it!  I'll make them later today and post a picture tomorrow!

Haven't made any progress on my broken dish block quilt ... yesterday morning when I was up at 2:45 and couldn't go back to sleep, I went through a bunch of my old quilt magazines and pulled out some pictures of quilts I'd love to make.  Now I just want to piece, piece, piece!!
This is a super easy pattern called Soft & Simple from the summer 2011 issues of Quilts and More.  What a great donation quilt (or baby/kid quilt) and a great way to use up all the extra fabric I have.
This is a super cute baby bib that was made out of charm pack squares; I thought it would make a great shower gift ... easy to do and you could make several.  Designed by Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms and came from the Quilts and More summer 2011 magazine.
This cute quilt is Tonee White's All for Fall and was published in the October 2011 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting.
It's hard for you to really see the design in this quilt, but it really intrigues me!  It is called Wild Wild Web by Amy Butler and the blocks are 22" x 24" spider web blocks that are paper pieced ... I love paperpiecing ... I can see this quilt in halloween fabrics ... wahoo ... did someone say HALLOWEEN my favorite holiday!!
Presenting Fresh New Attitude designed by Becky Goldsmith and Linda Jenkins of Piece O' Cake Designs; it was published in the August 2011 issue of APQ.  I don't do much applique anymore because I really love piecing better, but I think this quilt is so sweet.

This quilt looks rather complicated, but when you look at the way the block is constructed, it is so interesting.  There is some strip piecing involved, so that helps ... it's called Crack the Code by Scott Hansen of Blue Nickel Studios and it was in the latest APQ October 2012 magazine.

So there are 6 quilts that I would love to make ... and you know what???  I am going to put them all on a list and make a commitment to myself to make them all.  The first one I'm going to start with is the easiest, Soft and Simple ... I'm going to make it with loads of fabric that I have ... I'll keep you posted on my progress ... I'll give myself the date of September 30 to have it finished!  Think I can do it?  Of course I can!

P.S.  Don't forget to check out this post and follow APQ's pillowcase blog challenge Pillowcase Challenge

Exciting days!

Well my daughter's prom was Sat. and she had a great time!  I'm so glad ... all that anticipation, preparation, etc. turned out so well!  She went with a group of friends and my husband and I played chauffer!  Isn't that funny ... we had three kids in our car, and the other car had the other five.  Then when we picked them up at midnight we had five kids ... four girls and one guy!  That poor guy ... he was such a great sport!  There is nothing funnier than listening to a gaggle of girls dish on everything that went on at prom ... what couple was fighting with each other, did you see so and so do blah, blah, blah ... I got my entertainment for the night for sure.
She's the one on the right!  Yes she is tall, about 5'10", but the lady of the night shoes add about 4 inches!  My only regret is that we did not get a picture of her just by herself showing off the dress.  By the time we arrived at the friend's to pick her up, they had already finished taking pictures ... I just grabbed a couple really quick.

I had a lovely mother's day, as I hope all you mothers, aunts, grandmas, and special women did.  My hubby and daughter surprised me with my favorite flowers ...

We are on our way to Hawaii tomorrow for our son's graduation ... so very exciting!  I'll probably be silent until next week.  We have a good friend housesitting with the animals, and I'm a little nervous!  She's never housesat for us before, and these dogs are my babies ... I'm sure they'll be fine and won't ever miss us!  Have a wonderful week and may you get lots of sewing done!

Aloha!!!

Land's End saves the day!

Well after my rant from the other day about bathing suits, I happened to be passing through Sears the other day on our search for prom shoes and I saw Land's End bathing suits ... they looked like they had underwire in them!  No time to try them on then ... so I went back today!  They have a whole slew of suits with underwire in them ... I am a happy camper!  I came away with a bathing suit that is cute, youthful, and most important supportive!  Hurray ...
The bottoms are navy blue, and look weird here because they're darker inside
A close up of the top

Here's another quilt I worked on this week ... this is a Christmas strip quilt that my customer bought in December from our store, and gave me about 6 weeks ago ... I'm always so impressed with people that get their Christmas projects done early ... I always have good intentions, but I don't know why I even THINK I'll get started early ... I just never do!  Time has this way of really getting away from me.
This is only her second quilt, but she is a very precise and particular piecer!  The quilt layed really flat ... with a little bit of wave in one of the sides and the bottom border, but nothing that I couldn't ease in.
A little hard to see, but I quilted a stipple pattern using a Glide lime green in the top and bobbin.  It showed up nicely on the dark colors and gave the quilt a little pizzaz!
Didn't she do a great job?
When I talk about how the borders lay, or something a little off in the quilt piecing, I want you to understand something ... it is never meant to criticize the piecer.  I only mention it as a teaching tool ... I think we all have issues with our quilts, whether they are ones we piece ourselves, or ones we are quilting for others.  By discussing problems we have while quilting, we can help solve each other's issues.  I've talked before about the proper way to measure for a border ... measuring horizontally and vertically through the center of the quilt, and then attaching the borders using those measurements.  While that wasn't the way we were taught years ago, this seems to be the preferred method now for acccurate borders.  That being said, I can tell you that most people I know do not measure their borders that way -- they just cut a strip the width they need, start sewing it on, and then when they get to the end of the quilt, they just wack the strip off.

This doesn't work and I'm going to explain why ... I know it's easy to do, but ... when you sew a quilt, you are cutting and piecing, pushing and pulling fabric, ironing, etc.  By the time you get to the outside of the quilt, you pieces that are laying on the edge of the quilt can really be distorted from the whole process.  Take your measurements on the outside of your quilt top, and then measure through the center ... see the difference?  I guarantee you there will always be a difference, no matter how careful you are when you piece.  It is just natural that the outside edge is going to have stretched out of shape.  If you just add fabric to that outside edge, it's going to not be straight beause it's stretched here and there, and when you just add a length of fabric, you are adding to the craziness.  You have this center that is a different size, and now the outside is just doing it's own thing.  If you measure and add the borders based on the measurement through the center, you are controlling that top, easing the waviness in, and squaring the top up.  I hope that helps someone ... I can tell you that when I take my time and add my borders in this manner, my quilt lays so much better ... try it on your next quilt!  You'll get used to the process and it will be just as easy as your old method, but will produce much better results!

Bathing suits

Okay, I realize this post has absolutely NOTHING to do with quilting, but I just had to vent!  I hate buying bathing suits like most women ... even though I'm at a healthy weight and wear the smallest size I ever have ... it's just not good enough ... I know I'm being ridiculous, I really do!  Plus, I'm 51, and so my skin just isn't as tight as it was when I was 20, and I always focus on my flaws, not my attributes ... I have several questions/comments for people that merchandise bathing suits:

1.  Why do you put the most horrible, unflattering lights in stores?  Do you not get that if you put a flattering light in a dressing room, you would generate loads in sales $$$.

2.  Where are the bathing suits for large busted women that aren't plus sized?  This has bothered me for years ... I have a large chest and it is almost impossible to find suits that will fit me in a regular store.  Forget those cute little stores you find on vacation that have lovely bathing suits ... the tops are only made for very small chested women.  My current bathing suit is one I bought at Target several years ago ... two pieced, but for some reason, the top that is an x-large actually fits my chest.  I thought, okay, I'm going to order a bunch of suits from Land's End ... I know all their clothes are well made, and certainly I can find a bathing suit there.  I just ordered four suits from them (remember my post the other day -- the large box was full of bathing suits) ... every single one of them FIT in the chest, but not one of those suits had underwire in it ... my size without underwire is not a pretty sight (or practical for that matter) ... none of them looked good at all.

3.  Is this too hard?  I don't get it ... please, please, please .... make a bathing suit that is of good quality, with underwire, for large busted women.  I would pay $100 for a suit like that ... it would certainly be worth it.

So today I took back all of my bathing suits to Sears as they accept Land's End returns.  Then I decided to go take a peak in the women's section and see if they carry Land's End shoes as they have several styles that I thought were really cute, but don't want to go through the hassle of ordering.  Well ... I didn't find shoes, but I found just a few things ...

------bought two dresses, two light summer cardigans, two linen shirts and one belt ... let's just say that it would have been a lot cheaper to keep the bathing suits!!  Ha, ha ... but at least I am excited because I finally have something to wear to my son's graduation in Hawaii in 2 weeks.

Now I'm off to quilt because I have to generate some income to pay for all those clothes I bought today ... yikes ......................................

Frustration and prom dresses!

Ha, ha ... and believe it or not the two don't have anything to do with each other!  Finished a quilt that I have had on the frame for the past few days.  I was cruising along doing great I changed bobbins when the second one ran out, and all of a sudden I couldn't get a good bobbin tension.  Flat line on the bottom and no amount of adjusting would work ... tried a different bobbin.  I think it is my bobbin case -- bent again?!  This is the second bobbin case I've been through in about 9 months.  I wonder if this is normal.  I do drop it on the ground occasionally because for some reason I just have a hard time holding onto it . .. maybe because of the oil that's around the case and the bobbin race!  Ordered some parts from my dealer and I thought they would have been here by Saturday at the latest ... got annoyed when they didn't show up yesterday, put a different bobbin in (instead of aluminum, tried the steel one), and it worked great.  Hmm .... I was originally using steel, then went to aluminum because I was having a problem with tension.  This is all sounding a little crazy!  Oh well ... I will go back to the aluminum bobbins and a new bobbin case when they arrive, and hope the issues are over!  Meanwhile, the quilt got finished and came out really nice.  I'll show you some pictures tomorrow.

Prom ... now without going into a long story, darling daughter's prom is the middle of May.  The prom dress is not in her hands ... long story short, today I took her and a friend of her's out to see if we could find a dress.  I found one that I loved on her at Macy's ... but she did not like it -- of course ... why should we agree now!  Ha, ha ... here's one of her favorites:
This is a dress that is on the David's Bridal website ... really beautiful ... pink with a real cinderella type feel to it ... the only one in her size from the store has to be sent from Hawaii!  Ha, ha ... So we are off tomorrow to try a few more places.  Who knows where it will take us and what she will wind up with ... there is a lot of talk about vintage dresses as the theme of the prom has something to do with classic Hollywood.  That's fine by me ... I really don't care ... I just want her to have a dress!  I want you to hear the restraint in my typing here ... because you can imagine the conversation that went on between mother and 17 year old daughter about why the prom dress that was supposed to be being MADE for you isn't going to be made ... but hey, I will not say "I TOLD YOU SO!"  Oh, I sure hope she doesn't decide today to read my blog!!!!   More tomorrow ....

A Grateful Heart

I've had a few personal things going on in my life lately, and just been overly stressed.  I know it will pass, but yesterday I spent the day with my friend who has been battling breast cancer for 8 years.  The cancer has moved to her spine, and she is in tremendous pain.  I took her to chemo where we spent an hour and a half having her drip.  We sat and visited, and spent time talking to some of the other patients there.  The lady next to her was there for a 5 hour treatment ... it really put my life in perspective.  I did not come home feeling sad (like I thought I would); I came home with a renewed sense of the strength and courage I saw in ordinary people.  My friend doesn't realize she is an inspiration, and one of my heros ... she just thinks she's an ordinary person.  I know different ... if you pray, please pray for my friend, Helen ... she certainly could use any help.  She is schedule for radiation again for the next couple weeks, and they'll be trying a different combination of chemo drugs, hoping to find that combination that will help shrink those tumors.

On a different note, the new class schedule is coming out on Sat., April 21 at The Country Loft.  Here is one of the classes I am teaching in the next couple months ... it's called All Squared Up ... it is an original Donna Yackey pattern, and she graciously allowed me to teach it since she is retired from teaching and quilt designing.

Also on Saturday, our very own quilt designer, Kathy Cardiff of The Cottage at Cardiff Farms is having a book signing!  This is her first book published by Leisure Arts ... the book is lovely!  We are so excited ... she will be doing a book signing from 9-10, and then having a class after that.  So please come by and have her autograph your book ... they did such a nice job with not only the pictures of her quilts, but the other photos in the book -- specifically of her yard and garden area.

Happy Friday ... it is waaaaayyyy past my bedtime and I am going to be sorry later this morning when I have to get up.  But I didn't want to ignore all my buddies out there!

Happy Easter ...

Hope you have a wonderful Easter and that there are some chocolate bunnies in your basket!

17 year olds still like Easter egg hunts (and mom's still love hiding the eggs!!)

It took her a long time to find this orange one ...

Tie dyed Easter eggs ... they were fun!

I even managed to finish my February block!!!  What a wonderful Easter ... hippity hop!!!
